Every so often at the Y there's a major breakthrough, and all of a sudden, swimming connects. That happened yesterday with Aurelia. This is her second session with me, third session total. She's been a tough cookie. Her favorite lines have been, "I don't want to" and "I'm not going to". So we worked on positive language - "I will try." Yesterday, she put her face in the water for the first time - her twentieth week of lessons. Not just once or twice, but three times! Then she kept her face in for three entire seconds. Aurelia, we're going to win!
