Ask an officer.

That's exactly what we did this morning after we took the scenic route (translation:  road construction!) to church at Kenwood Trail.  You see, there is only one way in to and out of Kenwood.  The main road, County Road 50/Kenwood Trail, is totally blocked off so you can't turn right or left which led to the question - "Why stop at the stop sign?"

The truck in front of us yielded, the car behind us stopped and the car I was in went right through (makes you wonder who was driving, doesn't it?).  So we asked the officer.  He said the correct response was to always stop at the stop sign.  Then he confessed he only did a quick yield, too, because he knew there was no traffic!
