In another exciting post brought to you from somewhere out in the Atlantic Ocean, did you know . . .
1. The correct Aussie terminology is a "spew" bucket for those who are seasick;
2. Unlike airplanes whose flights are directed by air traffic control, our path is set by our captain;
3. If we need to pass another ship, we pass port side to port side. Our cabin in on the port side which increases our chances of seeing another ship sail by.
4. We are sailing anywhere from 11-13 miles from shore. At eleven miles, you are considered "safe" from small boats and pirates. At thirteen miles, you can legally dump your food waste overboard. Yes, we are currently separating in the dining room (which totally grosses me out).
5. The captain announced that we will be changing course after dinner which means we will be having a rough sail though the night - after a Mexican meal, no less!
5. Matt and I both agree that in the future we will be enjoying the ocean from the beach and not from a ship! Which brings us back to the spew bucket which is right beside his bed at the moment.
Fighting the "queasies" . . . Margo
