We knew it would be different coming this time as we were coming at the end of the field service and the ship would be preparing for dry dock. I don't think we realized how empty it would be. The Hope Centre was taken down on Wednesday before we arrived. The few remaining patients there were moved back on to the ship until they are well enough to go home. The doctors finished surgeries on Friday. Medical crew is leaving right and left and it's empty around here. The day workers are mostly done on Wednesday, so it'll become even more empty on the Ghost Ship Mercy. It's a good thing the kids are coming tomorrow! (:
