Land Ho!

About 2:15 p.m. yesterday, we got word - the pilot was on board the ship - and about an hour later, we pulled in to port!

We thought we'd be at the end of the pier . . .

The road into town . . .
Around 3:45 p.m. yesterday, they turned the engines off.  At 5:00, we had a country briefing and by 5:30, we were given shore leave.  At that point, we had been on board the ship ten days and 7 1/2 hours.  It took us just ten more minutes to get off the ship!

We'll be taking the kids down the road into town - yes, walking! - the next three days!  It didn't seem long last night.  I wonder how it'll be today . . .
