Three . . .

Three blog-worthy thoughts from the day:

One:  We saw dolphins off the port side of the dining room during dinner tonight - spectacular!

Two:  Robin, the librarian, came up to me today and said he had a present.  Yeah, I got a plastic egg.

Three:  Lyn, the nurse, came and found me today and gave me more sea sick pills.  Maybe the rumor about us hitting bad weather tomorrow is more fact than fiction.

Up on Deck 7 . . .

We had a wild afternoon of "What Time is It, Mr. Shark?", "Three-Step Everlasting", "Secret Medic", "Line Soccer" and "Silent Nerf".  It was hot, we were sweaty, and view was exquisite!  Check it out:

It's Mystery . . .

MEAL!  We brought the kids into the dining room for a "mystery meal" today!  Every menu item had a code name and they chose three to four items for each course.  Our crew and Miss Carrie served:

while the kids got a few surprises!

Truthfully, I'm not sure if eating the chocolate pudding (alias "baby poo") with the hot dog  was worse than the pea sandwich I saw consumed!

Sock Golf

Have you ever wondered what Mercy Ships does in the "ships" part of the program?  Well, while we're sailing, crew are given an opportunity for fun.  Last night, Matt joined in with a group of friends and played sock golf!  Eighteen holes around the ship throwing a pair of socks rather than golf clubs!  He had a great time and I took no pictures!  Sorry!

Poor Robin!

Our librarian, Robin, was quite willing for us to have an Easter egg hunt in the library with the kids last week and I found out why!  He knew that in a few weeks or months, he'd be finding the eggs they couldn't and then he'd get to eat the treats!  I had to explain to him that it was "Hoodwinked Holidays" and all the eggs were empty!  The kids would get their treats, not in their eggs, but in their Easter baskets upstairs.  He was quite disappointed.  Fortunately, he still let us have the egg hunt in the library.

LOST: ONE HOUR

The captain had us move our clocks forward one hour Saturday night.  We're not quite sure why, but Lia offered the best explanation:  Africa does not have day light savings time.  We are currently six hours ahead of Minnesota!

It was glorious . . .

sailing today!  The seas were calm, the seasick pills were packed away, and all was right with our world.  We changed course, caught a current, and are making good time.  Take a look -

 . . . the vastness of the ocean . . .

 . . . spray from the ship . . .

. . . twilight from the bow . . .

Alas, there are storm clouds on the horizon . . . but not today! (:
